Congratulations to Laciak>cpa Senior Amanda Bray on obtaining her MBA from Valparaiso University! We’re very proud of you, and excited to watch as you take the next steps to obtaining your CPA designation. Here’s Amanda’s story of her MBA journey, in her words:
“After approximately 10 years in the accounting industry, I was no longer content with not having my CPA license but my Bachelor’s degree left me lacking 18 of the required 150 college credit hours to qualify for the CPA exam.
When I accepted an offer of employment with Laciak Accountancy Group I knew this was a firm I wanted to grow with, and the only way to do that was to take the next step toward obtaining my CPA license. I had just paid off the student loans on my undergraduate degree and it seemed like the appropriate time to resume furthering my education and complete the deficient credit hours.
Since I was going to have to go back to school regardless, I decided it would be more personally fulfilling to take some additional courses and complete a second degree in the process. I selected Valparaiso University for the Stackable MBA Program. Through this program, not only did I earn my MBA but I also completed three business certificates in Business Decision Making, General Business, and Leading the Global Enterprise.
Now I’m looking forward to taking the summer off from my studies to enjoy time with my family before I begin the final step in my pursuit of the CPA designation in the fall.”
Congratulations Amanda! Enjoy the summer months with your family and be proud of your accomplishments. Your Laciak>cpa family certainly feels the same of you.
