Laciak Accountancy Group, P.C. is no exception. Founded in 1983 by Joseph Laciak, the company’s evolution reflects Laciak’s passion for public accounting and helping small businesses succeed.
Joe started his public accounting career in 1975 with Crowe Chizek, a mid-sized public accounting firm in South Bend, Indiana. Personal reasons brought Joe back to Northwest Indiana a little over a year later, where he accepted a position with Price Waterhouse, one of the largest public accounting firms in Chicago at the time. He worked there for two years before joining a local public accounting firm in Schererville, Indiana. It was while working there that Joe determined that he wanted to dedicate his professional career to serving the accounting and financial needs of individuals and small businesses. After six years, Joe had found the entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a willing partner, and together they opened their own CPA practice in 1983, providing traditional accounting services to clients in Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s South Suburbs.
Following a decade of success, Joe acquired sole ownership of the practice in 1992. At that time, he realized that his client’s needs were changing – and broadening – and saw the potential that an untapped market niche could provide. To this day, Joe continues to adjust the service offerings the firm provides in response to changing market conditions and clients’ special needs.
The company logo, “Laciak>cpa, Accountancy and more…,” reflects the evolving nature of its services. Joe feels it reflects the depth and breadth of the services the firm provides, as well as its personality, energy and mission. This brand image reflects Laciak>cpa’s successful past and demonstrates its devotion to new challenges and to serving the growing needs of clients for years to come.
